10watts MIMO IP MESH for 150 km Real Time Video Downlink

Introduction

FD-615MT is a 10watts IP MESH broadband radio link for long range real time video and data transmitting.

Based on TD-LTE technology standard, it has better sensitivity -103dbm/10Mhz for high speed moving. It is always used for unmanned land vehicles, unmanned ships and drones to do wireless communications with each other.


This testig was held in 31st May 2019. It is aimed to prove the 10watts IP MESH link modules ability and data rate for 130km-150km. According to the curvature of the earth and the Fresnel radius, we chose 3 test sites for 130km, 140km and 150km.

The SNR value was stabilized at -4dB~-2dB. At this time, the data rate is 1.5Mbps~2Mbps. It is not enough for full HD 1080P video transmitting.

7.2 Test 4

FD-615MT(2) connected with the IP camera onboard and sent the real time video to FD-615mt(1). When the drone fly vertical height is 100meters, FD-615MT(1) smoothly displayed the 1080P, h.265, 2.5Mbps video on PC.

The SNR value was stabilized at 1dB~2dB. At this time, the uplink data rate is 4Mbps.

Conclusion

From the testing result, the FD-615MT can reach 100km-150km range for real time video transmitting air to ground. For ground to ground it supports NLOS 3KM-10KM for unmanned land vehicle, UGVs and ships with duplex control data and TCPIP/UDP signal.
